Privacy Policy

Wyrdbound · Last updated: August 14, 2026

Wyrdbound ("the App") is developed by NextAd ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

The App does not require an account. Aside from an optional display name (nickname) that you choose for the leaderboard (see below), the App does not ask for personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location.

Usage analytics. We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used so we can improve it. This includes anonymous, aggregated information such as:

This information is not used to identify you personally.

Attribution and marketing measurement. When we promote the App through advertising, we use Adjust (a mobile measurement service) to understand which campaigns lead to installs and to measure their performance. This may include your device's advertising identifier (the Google Advertising ID on Android), a truncated IP address, and basic device and install or event information. This data is used for attribution and aggregate measurement, not to identify you personally.

On-device data. Your game progress — your current expedition, deck, relics, gold, unlocked content, run history, and settings — is stored on your device. Except for the leaderboard information described below, it is not transmitted to us.

Leaderboards. The App includes optional global leaderboards (daily, weekly and all-time). To take part, the App signs you in anonymously through Google Firebase Authentication, which creates a random user identifier that is not linked to your real identity. If you post a run, the App uploads a display name (nickname) that you choose and that run's results — its score, the class you played, the act and floor you reached, and whether you won — to Google Firebase Firestore, so your runs can be ranked against other players. Your nickname and results are visible to other players on the leaderboards. Please do not use your real name or any personal information as your nickname. You can change your nickname at any time from the leaderboard screen, and you can stop contributing new runs by not posting them; uninstalling the App removes your local data.

2. How We Use Information

We use analytics information to operate and improve the App, understand which features are used, measure engagement and retention, balance difficulty, and diagnose problems.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your information, and we do not share personal information with third parties. Analytics data is processed by Google acting as our service provider, and attribution data is processed by Adjust acting as our service provider.

When you install the App after interacting with one of our advertisements, Adjust shares limited attribution information — such as which advertising campaign led to the install — with the advertising network that served the ad, so that the campaign's performance can be measured.

The leaderboard information you contribute (your chosen nickname and run results) is publicly visible to other players of the App within the in-app leaderboards.

5. In-App Purchases and Advertising

The App contains no in-app purchases and displays no advertisements. It does not use an advertising SDK; the advertising identifier described above is used only for install attribution when we advertise the App elsewhere.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

7. Your Choices

You can reset your device's advertising identifier or limit ad tracking at any time through your device's privacy settings (for example, "Reset advertising ID" on Android). Music and sound can be turned off in the App's settings. You can remove all locally stored game data by uninstalling the App.

8. Data Retention

Analytics data is retained by Google in accordance with Firebase Analytics' data-retention settings. Daily and weekly leaderboards cover a fixed period and are superseded as new periods begin. Data stored on your device remains until you clear it or uninstall the App.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

10. International Users

Analytics, attribution and leaderboard information may be processed on servers operated by Google and by Adjust in the United States and other countries.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
